The aviation industry took a major step forward in strengthening its defences against cyber threats with the successful completion of Cyber Skies 2025, an international cybersecurity exercise designed to enhance resilience in the sector. Organized by EUROCONTROL, the Digital Security Authority of Cyprus (DSA), the Israel National Cyber Directorate (INCD), and the Department of Civil Aviation of Cyprus (DCA). The two-day tabletop exercise in Nicosia brought together a diverse group of aviation professionals, cybersecurity experts, and regulatory authorities from Cyprus, Israel, Malta, Greece, Italy, Croatia, Bulgaria and Belgium.

The Digital Security Authority (DSA), in collaboration with the Shipping Deputy Ministry and with the participation of the Israel National Cyber Directorate (INCD), on the 27th of January, successfully concluded a pioneering conference on maritime cybersecurity titled "Charting a New Course: Overcoming Maritime Challenges."

The 4th plenary meeting of the of the 5G Trusted And seCure neTwork serviCes (5G-TACTIC), took place at the ICT Academy premises of the Office of the Commissioner of Communications in Nicosia, Cyprus on the 26th and 27th of November 2024.

As part of its strategic goal to enhance maritime cybersecurity, the Digital Security Authority, in collaboration with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Shipping Deputy Ministry, the U.S. Embassy, Sandia National Laboratories from the U.S. and the Open University of Cyprus, organized the second cybersecurity workshop “Preventing Cyber Aggression in the Maritime Domain”.

On Friday, October 25, 2024, the informative workshop organized by the Digital Security Authority (DSA) in cooperation with the Cyprus Standards Organisation (CYS), on "Cybersecurity in the AI ERA", was a great success.

The Cyber Security in Telecommunications Conference was held on 12/03/2024, co-organised by the Digital Security Authority, the Cyprus Computer Society and the British High Commission, with great success.

A Memorandum of Understanding was signed on the 7th of June 2023 in Belgrade, Serbia, between the Commissioner of Communications, Mr. George Michaelides, who represented both the Digital Security Authority (“DSA) and the Office of the Commissioner for Electronic Communications and Postal Regulation (“OCECPR”) of the Republic of Cyprus on the one hand and Mr. Dragan Pejović, Director of the Regulatory Authority for Electronic Communications and Postal Services (“RATEL”) and the National Centre for the Prevention of Security Risks in Information and Communication Systems (“SRB-CERT”) of the Republic of Serbia, on the other.
