The Office of the Commissioner of Communications – Digital Security Authority (DSA), in collaboration with the European Security and Defence College (ESDC), organized the "Maritime Cybersecurity" training course.
The course took place at the ICT Academy - Office of the Commissioner of Communications, from November 18 to 20, 2025.
There were 27 participants from 7 European countries, including both civilian and military personnel from EU Member States, as well as representatives from EU institutions and agencies.
The seminar provided a comprehensive understanding of the cybersecurity landscape in the maritime sector, with a focus on the European framework. It covered critical topics such as:
- Regulations and guidelines affecting the maritime domain.
- The importance of regulated audits for security.
- Simulations of real incident cases on a cyber range platform, demonstrating how easily the navigation process can be compromised and how to defend effectively.
